Job summary

Airbnb is seeking an Operations Engineer to apply AI at the forefront of BizTech's operational health. You will triage tickets, automate recurring tasks, and build self-healing observability. Proficiency with AI tools and scripting is essential.

The role involves on-call rotation and collaboration with global teams across AWS, GCP, and Oracle Cloud, with remote eligibility in the US. Base pay ranges from $136,000 to $160,000 USD, plus bonus and equity may apply.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience with observability and metrics tooling.
3+ years working with data querying and pipelines.
Working knowledge of network fundamentals and hardware.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD and automation tooling across AWS, GCP, or Oracle Cloud.
Comfort working in ticket/workflow-driven environments using Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

Manage the ticket queue prioritizing and resolving requests; identify recurring categories to automate or deflect.
Participate in a rotating on-call and incident response schedule; troubleshoot and document issues in real time.
Build and maintain monitoring dashboards (Tableau, Superset, Grafana) tracking service health, availability, and data quality.
Use AI-assisted tools to speed up triage, root-cause analysis, scripting, and documentation.
Write and maintain code in Python, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bash to automate workflows.
Partner with global teams to drive issues to resolution.
