Job summary

Siemens Healthineers seeks a Software Developer Engineer in Walpole, MA. You will design, develop, verify, and maintain software for regulated Point of Care diagnostic products, working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, security, and regulatory compliance.

You will apply modern stacks (Java/Kotlin, C#/.NET, TS/React), build automated tests, and contribute to AI-driven engineering practices to boost productivity and software quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3-6 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java/Kotlin, C#/.NET, or TypeScript/React with ability to learn related tech.
• Experience building Android, web, or Windows apps.
• Experience with automated tests and test frameworks.
• Experience with source control, build automation, and CI/CD.
• Experience with scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell, Groovy).
• Strong problem solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and platform components.
• Participate in all SDLC phases from requirements to release and support.
• Create and maintain automated tests for unit, integration, and system levels.
• Develop automation to improve builds, tests, deployment, and workflows.
• Support medical device software integration, verification, stability, and performance testing.
• Collaborate across global teams in software, systems, quality, and security.
