Qualifications

• Knowledge of how verification and validation integrate in a regulated software development process.
• Design, develop and execute tests from software requirements and specs.
• Provide documented evidence of test execution.
• Participate in risk management activities (project, technical, hazard).
• Ability to review software requirements and specs with peers.
• Ability to work effectively alone or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform software verification and validation as part of the software engineering process for medical device solutions.
• Integrate verification activities with requirements, risk management, and development workflows.
• Design, develop and execute tests to verify design implementation meets requirements.
• Set up physical equipment configurations and test environments.
• Document defects and track them; support root-cause analysis and verify fixes.
• Communicate test status and software quality to leads and managers.
• Collaborate across project teams and disciplines to improve verification approaches.
