Job summary

Comrise is seeking a Mechanical Design Data Specialist in the United States to support an AI initiative by analyzing and annotating mechanical design data and CAD models. You will review 3D CAD assemblies, interpret design intent, and help convert engineering data into AI-ready datasets.

You will collaborate with engineering and AI teams, improve automation workflows in Python, and work with NX/CATIA/SolidWorks/Creo on complex geometries and simulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in mechanical design in a manufacturing or product development setting.
• Hands-on experience with 3D CAD and mechanical design.
• Experience with CAD models, assemblies, and complex geometries.
• Familiarity with engineering simulations (FEA/CFD/thermal/structural).
• Proficiency in at least one major CAD platform (NX/CATIA/SolidWorks/Creo).
• Experience with Python for automation or data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Review and annotate engineering data to support AI model training.
• Interpret design intent, constraints, and changes within mechanical data and drawings.
• Analyze design iterations and document engineering rationale.
• Develop and improve Python-based automation tools for data processing.
• Collaborate with AI/data teams to establish data protocols and datasets.
