Job summary

Hadrian is seeking a data/ML engineer to own the monitoring, analytics, and model infrastructure for our autonomous manufacturing fleet in Torrance, CA. You will design and deploy AI/ML models using manufacturing data to predict build quality and detect anomalies, while building dashboards and alerting for real-time visibility.

You will curate datasets, manage labeling and versioning, and work with engineering teams to integrate outputs into production workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 4+ years in manufacturing data systems or data-driven manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML models.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks, and SQL fluency.
• Experience building analytical datasets from manufacturing data.
• Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies and SPC.
• Strong analytical skills linking model outputs to engineering decisions.
• Ability to work on site in Torrance, CA with travel up to 15%.
• US person for ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the monitoring and analytics layer for the AM fleet and decide what to surface and alert.
• Own the curated datasets, labeling, and dataset versioning.
• Design, develop, and deploy models trained on Hadrian manufacturing data.
• Build and maintain feature engineering and model infrastructure.
• Develop process monitoring dashboards and AI-driven alerting.
• Integrate model outputs back into production workflows.
• Collaborate with Materials and Process Engineering for validation.
• Apply SPC to AM process data and establish control limits.
• Lead data-driven problem solving using 8D, 5 Whys, and fishbone methods.
