Job summary

Hadrian is seeking a Data Science/ Data Engineer Intern to help build the data backbone of our autonomous factory in Los Angeles. You’ll work with production data, pipelines, and models that influence operational decisions.

You will collaborate with engineers and analysts, develop dashboards, and prototype ML approaches for anomaly detection and forecasting. This is a hands-on role that ships code and offers real experience in manufacturing software.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS, DS, statistics, or engineering, with expected graduation 2027–2028.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Familiar with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, or cloud data warehouses.
• Ability to turn messy data into defensible conclusions.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA.
• Internships available for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027; indicate term.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines moving machine, production, quality, and program data into our warehouse.
• Model and structure datasets used by engineering, operations, and quality teams.
• Analyze production data to surface insights on throughput, capacity, cycle time, yield, and utilization.
• Develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting for factory performance and program status.
• Prototype statistical or ML approaches for anomaly detection, forecasting, or optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate questions into analyses.
• Write clean, tested, well-documented code and participate in reviews.
• Surface data quality issues and discuss data governance.
