Job summary

Okta is seeking a Globalization Engineer to own and optimize the automation stack powering localization. You will collaborate across teams to build robust systems, leverage AI for improved translation workflows, and ensure seamless content delivery for a global audience.

You will drive early detection tooling, audit i18n implementations, and manage TMS environments like XTM and Smartling, enabling scalable, efficient localization operations at Okta.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years in software or globalization engineering with localization experience.
• Strong Python and API-based automation skills.
• Experience with enterprise CMS/MSM platforms and AI in localization.
• Deep understanding of TMS architecture and file formats (JSON, XML, XLIFF).

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize the localization automation framework using Python and APIs.
• Lead AI/LLM integrations to improve quality, speed, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide technical oversight and diagnose complex integration issues.
• Advise product/engineering on i18n best practices and code audits.
• Manage and optimize TMS environments like XTM and Smartling.
• Develop self-service tooling to detect UI truncation and concatenation issues early.
