Job summary

Okta is seeking a Globalization Engineer to own and optimize its localization automation stack. You will design and maintain core workflows connecting our TMS with content sources and internal tools, using Python and APIs.

This hands-on role requires deep expertise in AI, i18n, and scalable systems to empower teams and ensure high-quality global content. You will lead efforts to integrate AI-powered localization features, conduct i18n audits, and provide technical guidance across products,

Qualifications

6-8 years of software or globalization engineering experience with localization at scale.
Expert-level Python and API usage to build automation frameworks and integrations.
Experience with enterprise CMS/MSM platforms (e.g., AEM).
Proven use of AI in localization workflows and MT pipelines.
Deep understanding of TMS architecture and various file formats (JSON, XML, XLIFF, properties).
Ability to perform code-level i18n reviews and promote best practices.

Responsibilities

Build, own, and maintain the localization automation framework and workflows.
Evaluate and implement AI/localization technologies to improve quality and cost.
Provide technical oversight and diagnose high-impact architectural issues.
Advise product/engineering on internationalization and i18n code audits.
Manage and optimize Translation Management Systems (e.g., XTM, Smartling).
Develop shift-left self-service tooling for dev teams to catch UI issues early.
