Job summary

Rocket Mortgage, a Detroit-based company, is seeking a Legal Operations Intern to support data quality, reporting, and matter management across the legal team. You will work with AI tools to standardize records and reduce manual data entry, while gaining firsthand exposure to corporate legal operations and vendor partnerships.

The role offers hands-on ownership of projects, opportunities to collaborate with attorneys and business partners, and exposure to investor reporting and e-billing

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program in a field related to legal studies, business, information systems, data analytics or similar.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data quality.
• Analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI tools to identify data inconsistencies and standardize matter records.
• Organize and maintain matters, engagements and spend data for reliable reporting.
• Assist in mapping data across templates, systems and outside law firm information.
• Support time-sensitive projects, including annual law firm rate review, via data analysis and coordination.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and document processes for improvements.
• Gain hands-on exposure to legal intake, outside counsel engagements, spend reporting and investor reporting.
