Job summary

Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York seeks an Applications Engineer to deliver and support the Firm's practice and AI technology solutions. You will partner with attorneys and staff to understand workflows and translate requirements into technical specifications for configuration, integration, data migration, and reporting.

You will manage upgrades, test plans, and coordination with vendors, maintain documentation, and support security and governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
Five or more years of relevant experience, including at least three years in application engineering or similar roles.
Experience implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise and SaaS applications with third-party integrations.
Ability to work with Information Security to configure Entra ID SSO applications and permissions.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills with clear communication.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical owner and primary technical resource for assigned practice and AI technology solutions.
Configure, customize, and administer applications, including user access and data governance.
Provide level 2 and level 3 support; investigate complex issues and coordinate resolution with vendors.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for configuration, integrations, and reporting.
Plan and execute application upgrades, feature releases, and other enhancements.
Develop test plans, perform QA, and coordinate user acceptance testing.
