Imagine Learning is seeking an Learning Scientist to turn learning science into AI-enabled instructional experiences. You will work on a small, entrepreneurial R&D team to prototype content, build knowledge graphs, and translate research into practical materials.

You will collaborate with engineers and product teams to test interactions, refine content, and evaluate instructional quality, bias, and accessibility.

Formación

• Master’s degree in learning sciences or related field with strong education research background.
• At least 3 years of hands-on learning design or research experience.
• Proven ability to create instructional artifacts and prototypes for AI-enabled experiences.
• Skill in creating and using domain knowledge graphs or concept maps.
• Experience designing assessments and rapid evaluation methods.

Responsabilidades

• Translate learning science into concrete instructional examples, prototype content, design rules, and testable hypotheses for AI-enabled experiences.
• Build draft domain knowledge graphs linking concepts, prerequisite skills, misconceptions, and cross-domain touchpoints.
• Create sample learning activities, worked examples, assessments, and rubrics for engineers.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to test interactions and identify instructional gaps.
• Run lightweight learner sessions and use data to drive iterative improvements.
• Evaluate AI interactions for instructional quality, accuracy, accessibility, and bias; build test cases.
• Investigate how learners use AI and adjust materials to support motivation and independent performance.
• Apply research to design questions; document assumptions and share artifacts early.

Educación

Master’s degree in learning sciences, educational psychology, cognitive science, or a related field

3+ years of applied learning design or research experience

Experience building instructional materials and prototypes

Ability to model domain knowledge with concept maps or knowledge graphs

Experience with assessment design and rapid evaluation
