Job summary

Bandwidth is seeking an innovative Internal Applications Engineer to design, develop, and deploy automation workflows and AI-powered internal tools. You will work with senior engineers on API integrations, data pipelines, and user-facing apps using React and FastAPI.

You’ll build and maintain internal tooling, integrate systems, and harness AI platforms to generate insights and automate responses. Collaboration and documentation are key to success in a fast-moving team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Python and/or JavaScript in production contexts.
• Experience with REST API integration and workflow automation platforms.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, SQL and data pipelines.
• Experience using AI development tools in daily workflow.
• Familiarity with Pytest or Vitest and testing practices.
• Exposure to Docker or AWS and container/cloud concepts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and automate processes using AI and workflow orchestration to reduce manual work.
• Build internal tooling with React and FastAPI on containerized infrastructure.
• Integrate systems across platforms (HubSpot, ServiceNow, others) via APIs/scripts.
• Support data pipelines bringing data from ops systems into Snowflake.
• Develop AI-powered solutions and utilize LLM APIs in daily tasks.
• Write Python/JavaScript scripts to extend automation and tooling.
• Test, iterate with user feedback, and document solutions for maintenance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and drive adoption.
