Job summary

You'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, design scalable architectures, and contribute to data modeling efforts while championing AI-powered workflows. The position is based at Appian's McLean, VA headquarters.

Qualifications

• Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or other STEM fields with a strong academic record.
• Experience: Prior experience in a professional, academic, or technical setting (internships, research, capstones, or consistent part-time/full-time employment).
• Communication: Effective written and verbal communication to bridge technical concepts and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy internal applications with advanced business logic, automated workflows, and embedded AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to translate operational challenges into technical solutions.
• Design scalable architecture and integrate data structures with data modeling fundamentals.
• Work with senior engineers to optimize performance, security, and UI/UX.
