Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot in North Kingstown, RI is seeking an Instructional Designer (HR/Learning & Development) to create modern learning solutions, balancing traditional design with AI-enabled tooling for a hybrid team.

You will drive content development, collaborate with SMEs, and manage the full lifecycle of learning assets while leveraging the LMS and AI-driven workflows to scale capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Education, or equivalent.
• 2+ years creating corporate L&D curricula.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools.
• Experience with video generation/editing tools.
• Experience using an LMS platform.
• Knowledge of ADDIE or SAM and accessibility concepts.
• Proficiency with Articulate 360.
• Proficient with Google Workspace.
• Ability to adapt quickly to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop learner-centric curriculum designs and instructional materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create client-facing learning assets.
• Integrate AI to accelerate production and improve content quality.
• Lead needs analyses with SMEs and stakeholders to define objectives.
• Pilot programs with Organizational Development to ensure effectiveness.
• Manage LMS content and track learner progress.
• Project-manage design initiatives and develop tracking tools.
• Train internal associates on instructional design best practices and tools.
