Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with BNY, seeks a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable services and APIs using Java/Spring and Python. You will own observability integrations across enterprise platforms, build telemetry pipelines, and ensure code quality through tests, reviews, and secure practices.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java/Spring and Python.
• Build solutions across the full software lifecycle, including frontend when needed, automated testing, code reviews, and translating requirements into maintainable code.
• Design and maintain observability integrations across enterprise platforms with telemetry pipelines, health checks, and self-healing automation.
• Develop observability and infrastructure integrations with ITSM, telemetry, and monitoring platforms.
• Emphasize test-driven development, automated testing, secure coding, peer reviews, and adherence to coding standards.
• Create and manage containerized pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD tools.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
