Job summary

Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to own the design, development, and maintenance of Archer’s internal tooling ecosystem. You will deploy Gen AI solutions, build data-intensive platforms, and automate critical business operations.

Responsibilities include building scalable backend systems, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure, while collaborating with engineers, operations, and product teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python/Go/Java/Node.js).
• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containers, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and internal APIs.
• Build automation tools and data pipelines to support cross-functional workflows.
• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability and security.
• Ensure code quality via testing, reviews, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, operations, PMs, and execs to translate requirements into designs.
• Architect and maintain observability and monitoring across systems.
• Incorporate Gen AI capabilities and data workflows into internal tools.
