Job summary

Archer in Jersey City is seeking a DevOps Engineer 2 to drive deployment automation, cloud infrastructure, and reliable production systems. You will collaborate with software engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable AWS-based solutions.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, IaC, containerization, and observability, with opportunities to impact security and performance in a cloud-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering/IT or related field.
• 3+ years in DevOps/SRE/Cloud/Infrastructure roles.
• 2+ years hands-on AWS cloud experience.
• Experience building and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines.
• IaC experience with CDK and/or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience supporting deployments and on-call rotations.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support AWS infrastructure deployment and automation via IaC.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across GitLab, GitHub Actions, and CodePipeline.
• Work with Docker and ECS/EKS for containerized apps.
• Enhance observability with CloudWatch, Splunk, and other tools.
• Assist in on-call incident response and RCA.
• Collaborate across teams to improve DevOps maturity and cost awareness.
