Job summary

Formation Bio is seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for the reliability, security, and operational foundation of engineering systems supporting AI-driven drug development efforts.

You will set technical direction, grow high-performing engineers, and oversee secure, observable software across cloud environments, including infrastructure for containerized apps, ML pipelines, and regulated workloads.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in infrastructure/SRE with 3+ years managing engineering teams.
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for reliability, security, and operational foundation.
• Develop high-performing engineers and oversee secure, observable software across cloud environments.
• Manage infrastructure for containerized apps, ML pipelines, and regulated workloads (GxP).
• Collaborate with data science, tech ops, and security; ensure IaC, CI/CD, and incident response.
