Job summary

Formation Bio is seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for the reliability, security, and operational foundation of engineering systems supporting AI-driven drug development efforts.

You will set technical direction, grow high-performing engineers, and oversee secure, observable software across cloud environments, including infrastructure for containerized apps, ML pipelines, and regulated workloads.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in infrastructure/SRE with 3+ years managing engineering teams.
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• set technical direction, develop high-performing engineers, oversee deployment of secure, observable, and reliable software across cloud environments, and manage infrastructure for containerized applications, ML pipelines, and GxP-relevant workloads.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, tech ops, and security; ensure high standards for IaC, CI/CD, and incident response; promote infrastructure best practices for AI-enabled workflows.

Requirements

• 7+ years in infrastructure/SRE with 3+ years managing engineering teams, strong operational judgment, experience with AWS, Snowflake, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and scripting languages.
• Knowledge of AI-native infrastructure, regulated workloads, and cross-cloud environments is preferred.
