Job summary

Abridge is seeking early-career Software Engineers to build AI-powered features for healthcare workflows. You’ll join researchers, clinicians, and engineers to translate cutting-edge language model capabilities into dependable clinical systems and production code.

You will work with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and other tools while shipping impactful features in a fast-growing startup environment. This onsite role offers growth and leadership pathways.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS or a related field, or equivalent experience via projects or bootcamp.
• Experience with GenAI and AI-powered features in real-world apps.
• Familiarity with prompts, retrieval, and tool use in LLM contexts.
• Ability to write and ship production-grade code using AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to backend and frontend systems across Abridge.
• Shift projects and tackle diverse challenges at startup scale.
• Collaborate with ML, infra, product, and clinical teams to understand users.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for accuracy, robustness, and reliability.
• Prototype with models, prompting techniques, and orchestration tools.
