Abridge is seeking Software Engineering Interns for a 3-month Fall 2026 internship in San Francisco. You will work with the engineering team to design, code, and ship AI-powered features that integrate language models into clinical systems.

Mentorship and hands-on experience will build real-world skills in a fast-paced startup. You’ll collaborate across product, ML, and infrastructure teams, focusing on building reliable, clinician-centric software and gaining exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a CS/Software Engineering degree or related technical field.
• Strong interest in a full-time software engineering role in 2027; return offer eligible for high performers.
• Experience with AI tooling to write, debug, and learn faster while knowing when to trust or verify.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end features, advancing agentic LLM workflows and retrieval pipelines.
• Fix user-facing bugs and improve backend/frontend quality of life.
• Utilize evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, robustness, and clinical reliability.
• Prototype with new models, prompting techniques, and open-source orchestration tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.).
• Develop a user-centric mindset, empathizing with clinicians’ challenges.
• Collaborate across cross-functional product teams to ship features to customers.
• Receive mentorship and work one-on-one with teammates within your pod.
