Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking an IT software professional to design, develop, test, and maintain AI-driven applications supporting grid planning and operations. The role emphasizes Agile delivery, CI/CD, and collaboration with Distribution, Transmission, and Substation teams to drive business value while maintaining secure and compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Experience: 2+ years in software development or IT roles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements
• Write unit and integration tests and support CI/CD processes
• Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance across distributed systems
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver iterative value
• Design APIs and microservices and ensure alignment with security and compliance
