Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. in Cambridge, MA seeks an Associate Director, Global Publications Lead to shape and execute the global publication plan for assigned assets, aligned with the asset medical strategy and with Group Lead guidance on broader TA decisions.

You will lead abstracts, manuscripts, congress presentations and plain language summaries, applying AI-enabled tools to improve planning, quality and stakeholder engagement across a global matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in biopharmaceutical publications
• Experience in global publication planning in a matrix environment
• Strong knowledge of GPP, ICMJE, CONSORT guidelines
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority
• Experience applying AI tools and digital technologies in publications

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global publication plan aligned with medical strategy and evidence plans
• Lead publication outputs: abstracts, manuscripts, congress presentations and plain language summaries
• Manage cross-functional planning with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development and regional teams
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and reporting guidelines with appropriate authorship disclosure
• Pilot AI-enabled tools to improve planning, visualization and workflow efficiency
• Track KPIs and integrate insights into plan updates
• Manage publication budget, forecasts, timelines and vendors
• Provide coaching or mentoring to fellows and contributors
