Job summary

TC Energy in Charleston, WV is seeking an experienced Applications Developer to join the US Commercial Applications team. You’ll own full-stack development across Angular front end, Java middleware, and SQL Server back-end, using AI-assisted tools daily to accelerate analysis, coding, testing and documentation.

You’ll collaborate with business stakeholders, contribute to 24x7 production operations, and participate in an on-call rotation in a hybrid work environment with a focus on safety,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Application Development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Gas pipeline commercial operations / NAESB EDI experience (preferred).
• SQL Server performance tuning (execution plans and indexing).
• Experience in regulated/24x7 production environments.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack features using an AI-driven development lifecycle.
• Build Angular components and TypeScript services with AI-assisted scaffolding.
• Implement Java middleware logic for EDI and scheduling workflows.
• Optimize SQL Server performance and manage large tables.
• Prototype solutions with AI tools like Kiro and Copilot.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and production deployment teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency support.
