Job summary

The Phoenix Group® is seeking a strategic, hands-on engineering leader to architect and build scalable full stack systems for enterprise AI-driven product experiences in New York. You will shape backend services, data models, and frontend interfaces while mentoring teams and ensuring security, performance, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full stack software engineering leadership in enterprise systems.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript with data modeling.
• Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs in large-scale architectures.
• AWS, CI/CD, observability, and automation practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable full stack applications with modular backend services, REST and GraphQL APIs, and frontend UI components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—product management, design, data science, and DevOps—to translate complex requirements into reliable solutions.
• Define and optimize canonical data models, manage complex data relationships, and develop search/indexing solutions (Elasticsearch, vector search).
• Build event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka and cloud pub/sub systems for real-time data streams and asynchronous workflows.
• Integrate AI/ML functionalities—including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, and entity resolution.
• Establish frontend architectures using React, Vue.js, or Angular with reusable component libraries.
• Drive system reliability, observability, automated testing, and continuous improvement processes.
• Implement security measures including RBAC, ABAC, and multi-tenant access controls.
• Mentor engineering teams on system architecture, code quality, and best practices.
• Partner with DevOps and security teams to oversee AWS infrastructure, ensuring scalability and compliance.
