Job summary

Knutson Construction Services is seeking a Finance Manager, FP&A to lead design and day-to-day operations of our budgeting, forecasting, and analytics in Minneapolis. You will build scalable FP&A processes, craft driver-based models, and provide data-driven insights to executive leadership as the company grows.

This role requires 8+ years of finance experience with hands-on FP&A, strong Excel and modeling skills, and experience applying AI tools to improve forecasting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 8+ years of progressive finance experience with hands-on FP&A
• Experience building financial models, forecasts and planning in fast-growth environments
• Direct experience using AI tools to support forecasting/analysis
• Advanced Excel and modeling; BI/data visualization tools preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own FP&A infrastructure including budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, projections, insights, and reporting
• Develop driver-based, scalable financial models
• Establish disciplined forecasting rhythms for a high-growth private company
• Deliver concise financial narratives for executive leadership including monthly reviews and scenario analyses
• Support advisory board reporting with data-driven insights and reliable forecasts
• Partner with CFO and leadership during periods of rapid growth or strategic decision-making
• Build FP&A processes and models that scale with future growth
• Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and standardize FP&A workflows
• Create and monitor variance analyses for profitability
• Shape the roadmap for future FP&A hires and capabilities
• Forecast across revenue, cost structure, headcount, cash flow and key drivers
• Perform deep-dive analyses on performance, margins, and growth initiatives
• Establish relevant KPIs for an evolving company
• Translate ambiguity into structured financial insights for leadership
• Prepare detailed consolidated forecasts and budgets
• Apply AI, predictive analytics, and automation tools in forecasting
• Continuously improve forecast accuracy and speed with modern analytics
• Partner with data/tech to integrate AI tools into FP&A processes
• Link FP&A outputs to GAAP results
• Work with accounting during close cycles to reconcile actuals
• Maintain analytical discipline and thorough documentation
• Develop relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams
