Job summary

Bonterra is seeking a Finance Director to lead FP&A for a SaaS business unit in the United States. You will design scalable budgeting/forecasting cycles, deliver actionable insights, and partner with executives to drive growth and disciplined resource allocation in a modern SaaS model.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to translate performance into forward-looking recommendations, supporting strategic priorities and ensuring accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Business Unit FP&A or related financial planning roles within a SaaS or recurring revenue environment.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis, including advanced Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP fundamentals and financial statement analysis.
• Experience preparing management and Board-level reporting packages.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain data accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication to translate financial results into business insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual operating plan process and quarterly reforecast cycles.
• Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly financial projections (revenue, expenses, cash flow, headcount).
• Administer enterprise financial reporting with dashboards, variance analyses, KPI reporting, and Board materials.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and root causes; present recommendations.
• Design and continuously improve FP&A processes, systems, and controls for a growing SaaS org.
• Partner with Sales to analyze bookings, pipeline trends, revenue forecasts, and sales metrics to inform planning and incentives.
• Coordinate with Accounting to align forecasts, actuals, and US GAAP reporting.
• Develop financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives including pricing, cost optimization, and investments.
• Support M&A activities with modeling, due diligence, and integration of metrics.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to executives on risks, opportunities, and resource allocation.
• Present financial results and forward-looking projections to executive stakeholders with key drivers and actions.
