Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Forward Deployed Architect/Engineer to join the global Business IT Architecture team. You will sit with business stakeholders, product teams, and claims leaders to translate unstructured challenges into prototype, validated, and production-ready AI-driven solutions in Azure.

You will own end-to-end delivery of PoVs, prototype rapidly with AI-assisted tools, and drive architectural governance while collaborating across geographies to ensure compliance and scalable

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in software architecture, solution architecture, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on fluency with at least two of: C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Deep cloud architecture expertise on Microsoft Azure (App Services, Container Apps, Azure AI Services, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, APIM) or equivalent hyperscaler.
• Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted software development and AI tooling (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf) to accelerate delivery.

Responsibilities

• Decompose complex business problems by embedding with stakeholders and breaking them into solvable components with clear paths forward.
• Prototype at velocity using AI-assisted SDLC and rapid iteration to produce working prototypes, not slides.
• Architect solutions that scale globally with an enterprise lens and modular, cloud-native, API-first patterns.
• Bridge AI innovation and business adoption by translating capabilities into operational value for claims and risk workflows.
• Own end-to-end delivery of PoV initiatives from ideation to deployment with measurable outcomes.
• Accelerate the architecture team's AI fluency by sharing patterns and reference architectures.
• Engage executive stakeholders with clear, precise technical decisions and progress updates.
• Contribute to architectural governance via ARB artifacts and compliance with security and roadmap.
