Job summary

Numeric is hiring a Customer Support Associate in New York City to own the front line of the user experience. You will triage, diagnose, and resolve issues end to end, often patching the fix yourself, with accounting knowledge driving every decision.

You will work in a role without direct reports and build the systems that make support scalable, using AI to automate and improve how near-term problems are resolved for finance teams.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years accounting experience with monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, or equivalent experience in technical support at a B2B SaaS company.
• You go looking for the cause and don’t hand back a workaround to a customer.
• You’ve taught yourself the technical parts of every role and aren’t intimidated by SQL, APIs, logs.
• You use AI tools daily and push for automation to improve outcomes.
• You write clearly under pressure and communicate honestly when time is tight.
• You can judge urgency, prioritize work, and speak up when needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the queue and its outcomes; ensure issues have owners, hypotheses, and next steps.
• Diagnose like a finance engineer; reproduce the problem, read logs, and patch when feasible.
• Turn support into product signal; route issues with evidence and identify recurring themes.
• Own incidents; manage timelines, communications, and post-incident fixes.
• Build the support engine with AI tools, a knowledge base, and scalable diagnostics.
