Job summary

Tread Inc. is seeking a high-agency finance leader to own the entire revenue dollar journey—from forecasting and modeling to fundraising and board reporting.

You will partner with the CEO and investors to build an AI-native finance and operations function that scales with the company. You’ll own the operating model, unit economics, and cash planning, while driving cross-functional leverage with GTM, product, and ops.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in investment banking, growth equity, private equity, or a top-tier strategic finance / corporate development seat.
• Elite financial modeling and analytical chops - build a three-statement model and defend every assumption.
• Commercial instinct on top of financial rigor - understand why the business wins.
• AI-native: use AI tools to work faster and build a finance function around them.
• Extreme ownership and comfort with ambiguity; no rigid org chart yet.
• Executive-level communicator who can move between founder, board member, and controller.

Responsibilities

• Own the model: build and maintain the operating model, budget, and rolling forecast as source of truth.
• Own the metrics: ARR, NRR, CAC, payback, gross margin, magic number, burn multiple.
• Turn ambiguous questions into quantified recommendations for pricing, segments, and hiring.
• Build board materials, data room, and reporting; defend every number for investors.
• Cash-flow forecasting, runway planning, and scenario analysis; manage fundraising support.
• Lead revenue operations: quote-to-cash, dashboards, and KPI cadence.
• Design an AI-native finance/ops stack; wire tools to enable data flow.
• Set standards for modern, lean finance & ops at Tread.
