Job summary

Tensec seeks a world-class Finance leader to build and own the finance function from the ground up. You will shape the operating model, budget, runway, pricing, and unit economics while sitting beside the CEO on every spend or investment decision.

This high-impact, hands-on role is designed as a path to CFO in a fast-growing AI-native fintech environment. Based in Palo Alto or New York with a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office), you will drive model-driven decision making, investor-ready

Qualifications

• 8+ years in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or venture/growth investing; director level experience.
• Fintech, payments, or FX experience where revenue moves with volume.
• Built three-statement, driver-based models; scenario-ready analyses.
• Experience with priced equity rounds; data room and diligence processes.
• Knowledge of cap tables, 409A, and equity mechanics.
• Cash, burn, and runway management in multi-entity setups.
• Board reporting experience and governance discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own the operating model, budget, runway, pricing, and unit economics.
• Lead cap table management, equity grants, and dilution modeling.
• Collaborate with CEO on spend decisions and investment planning.
• Produce board-ready monthly metrics and investor materials.
• Hire and build the finance function; automate reporting and closing.
