Job summary

Kaizen is hiring engineers to build crucial government-facing software with AI-enabled workflows. You will own high-leverage features, focusing on intelligent intake flows, AI-powered case routing, and portals that replace legacy interfaces.

You will work closely with design leadership and federal agency stakeholders to translate real-world needs into shipped products, using AI tooling as a force multiplier to move fast and deliver impact.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of professional engineering experience or equivalent
• Deep fluency in React/Next.js and Node.js/TypeScript/Postgres
• Experience shipping with AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude)
• A demonstrated project or product you’ve built
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and own outcomes
• Strong user experience sensibility and collaboration with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack features from conception to shipping with high leverage impact
• Build AI-powered product surfaces and real-time assistance
• Engage with federal agency stakeholders to translate needs into deliverables
• Ensure platform reliability and performance at scale for real users
• Maintain clean, tested, and maintainable codebase
