Job summary

Affirm is hiring an Engineering Onboarding Manager to craft an AI-first onboarding experience that helps new engineers gain confidence and impact. You will own learning content, coordinate across North America and Europe, and partner with Dev Productivity, SRE, Security, Architecture, and Product teams to make onboarding practical and credible.

You will run hands-on sessions at the San Francisco office, plus virtual and regional programs to build relationships, context, and fluency.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as a technical leader in software engineering.
• Understanding of AI-assisted development, code review, testing, CI, deployment, observability, incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Engineering onboarding for new engineers across NA and EMEA.
• Lead hands-on learning at the SF office with regional programming.
• Collaborate with Engineering leaders to build onboarding content across teams.
• Translate AI-first practices into practical learning experiences (agent-assisted development, CI, deployment, observability).
• Create role-relevant onboarding plans and partner with Recruiting, Learning, IT, Facilities, and regional teams.
• Gather feedback from hires, managers, and facilitators to improve onboarding continuously.
