Job summary

Cyderes is seeking a hands-on Manager, Software Engineering to lead a distributed team building the next-generation Cyderes portal, uniting MDR and Meridian into a modern customer experience. This highly technical leadership role combines architecture, coding, reviews, and deployments with mentoring engineers across the U.S.

and India. You will leverage AI tools like Claude to accelerate development, drive cloud-native design on AWS, and deliver scalable, secure software across multi-tenant SaaS

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on development.
• Experience leading engineers as Engineering Manager or Tech Lead.
• Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native application development.
• Hands-on with React and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and/or Go.
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS/web applications, APIs, dashboards, and reporting.
• AWS Amplify is a plus.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, CI/CD.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development and Claude preferred.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills with distributed U.S. and India-based teams.
• Cybersecurity, MDR, SOC, or security experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 7 software engineers across the U.S. and India.
• Design, architect, build, and deploy the next-generation Cyderes portal.
• Develop scalable multi-tenant web applications, APIs, dashboards, reporting, and workflow/ticket management.
• Build modern front-end experiences using React, TypeScript, and AWS Amplify.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python, Java, and/or Go.
• Drive cloud architecture and application development using AWS.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture, coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production deployments.
• Help integrate and evolve MDR, Meridian, and other Cyderes capabilities within the new portal.
• Establish and improve engineering practices using AI-assisted and agentic development, including Claude.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and other technology leaders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
