Job summary

Liquid Web Inc. is seeking an engineering leader to own an end-to-end team responsible for Experience Services’ cart, checkout, order, billing, and authentication systems across Quote to Cash and Customer Authentication.

You will drive architecture, delivery, and roadmap with a product partner, balancing AI-generated code and human oversight. You will stay hands-on, review PRs, write specs, and run the AI harness daily.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, including at least one year leading engineers formally or informally.
• Hands-on fluency in Perl, PHP, React, and Vue.
• Currently hands-on; shipped code recently; can read a diff and review AI-generated code.
• Real, hands-on AI-assisted engineering with measurable impact.
• Evidence you have made a team measurably faster.
• Delivered and modernized software to committed dates with data-driven forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture design, delivery and roadmap for your team.
• Own the engineering outcomes for Experience Services’ product space and related dependencies.
• Stay in the work: write specs, review PRs, ship real changes.
• Run the AI harness daily and make your team run it.
• Scope and cut the work into monthly cycles with clear cut lines.
• Identify and resolve cross-team dependencies before they block progress.
• Maintain high engineering standards, including four key metrics and on-call responsibilities.
• Grow your engineers with direct feedback and growth plans.
• Own what you run, including ownership of on-call and incident follow-through.
