Pearson is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive the Data Foundations modernization. You will own engineering delivery across legacy .NET WebForms and new React/TypeScript services, coordinating across product, security, compliance, and DevOps to protect continuity while advancing capabilities for analytics and AI-enabled features.

• 4+ years managing engineers who ship to production.
• Working engineering background to review a technical decision and be credible with engineers.
• Experience delivering a model-backed or agentic capability to real users, including evaluation before release and monitoring afterward.
• Experience managing across a legacy and a target platform simultaneously, while maintaining shipping.
• Comfortable managing a distributed team across time zones, with disciplined written communication.
• Experience in regulated or privacy-sensitive environments; K-12 and FERPA exposure an advantage.
• Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Own planning, prioritization, and delivery commitments for your team and the operating rhythm.
• Hire against our AI-fluent engineering bar and maintain it when the pipeline is thin.
• Lead the overall engineering delivery for Data Foundations, including roadmap execution and migration sequencing.
• Partner with Product, Data Engineering, Security, DevOps, Compliance, and vendor teams to align delivery priorities and protect continuity during modernization.
• Ensure data contracts, quality gates, observability, access controls, and support ownership across data domains.
