GSK is seeking an AI Director to lead the AI-native Development Operations strategy, prototyping frontier tools, and shaping scalable AI-enabled workflows across Development Operations. You will partner with business SMEs and enterprise tech teams to define build‑buy‑partner decisions and test concepts hands‑on.

This role combines strategic planning, hands‑on solution building and deployment judgement, reporting to the Head of Asset Acceleration and AI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Extensive experience in applied AI/technology or pharma strategy at a leading AI/tech environment.
• Strong commercial judgement and vendor decision experience.

Responsabilités

• Drive AI-native Development Operations strategy and roadmap.
• Lead prioritisation for AI opportunities across Development Operations.
• Scan external AI landscape; evaluate capabilities, vendors and partnerships.
• Define build-buy-partner approach for priority capabilities.
• Build and defend business cases with ROI and stage-gate discipline.
• Shape deployment strategy with enterprise AI, data, security, and regulatory teams.
• Drive cross-functional alignment and endorsement for AI-native strategy.
• Lead 0-to-1 incubation for priority opportunities with hands-on prototypes.
• Define adoption strategy for AI-native capabilities, including change management.
