Job summary

Securin is hiring a DevOps Automation Engineer to automate manual operational processes with AI-assisted workflows, spanning build, deploy, security, and infrastructure. You’ll work in a DevOps stack including Terraform, Jenkins, SonarQube, and AWS, and influence tooling migrations with a focus on maintainability and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 2+ years of hands-on AWS experience across core services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch).
• Production experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, CloudFormation/CDK, or similar).
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines in production with tooling like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps.
• Strong system design and troubleshooting skills; methodical, evidence-driven debugging of distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a comparable language; coding principles applied to infrastructure and tooling.
• Willingness to work with a distributed team across time zones and late-evening meetings.
• Developer-as-customer mindset with disciplined tooling changes and careful migrations.

Responsibilities

• Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone operational processes and replace them with automated, AI-assisted workflows.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code in Terraform (modules, state, promotion, drift detection, remediation).
• Own and extend Jenkins pipelines across build, test, security, artifact, and deploy stages.
• Integrate and tune SonarQube quality gates to surface meaningful findings without noise.
• Use coding agents as a primary implementation vehicle and review results thoroughly.
• Design and troubleshoot systems end-to-end across AWS components and failure scenarios.
• Investigate incidents, document runbooks, and automate to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with the India DevOps team on standards, on-call practices, and handoffs.
• Assess tooling fit and plan migrations methodically while keeping developers productive.
• Document what you build for maintainability across the team.
