Job summary

the company is seeking an AI-native Design Systems Designer to join the Builder Enablement team, focusing on Workbench, the company’s internal design system. You will evolve token architecture, ensure design/code alignment, and contribute to AI tooling and LLM-friendly documentation.

You will work with a small, design-driven team, shaping design system practices during a Brand Refresh, with emphasis on accessibility, performance, and collaboration with product, eng, and data teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years on a product design systems team handling design, implementation, documentation, and adoption.
• 7+ years experience on a product design team.
• Genuine experience using AI tools as a meaningful part of workflow.
• Ability to pair with engineering, understand technical plans and constraints.
• Solid understanding of WCAG AA guidelines.
• Expert knowledge of AI design tools and Figma, including complex component construction.
• Strong design craft and polished outputs with systemic consistency.
• Excellent documentation and cross-disciplinary communication.
• Experience with LLM-friendly documentation or AI-assisted design tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Workbench components with complex variants and tokenized styles.
• Own and evolve semantic and functional token architecture.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure design and code alignment.
• Contribute to AI tooling and documentation for LLM readiness.
• Provide Office Hours and async feedback to peers.
• Document and publish design decisions and rationale.
• Participate in system-wide architecture and migration discussions during Brand Refresh.
