c1.ai is building a horizontal identity platform, and we are seeking a Design Engineer who moves fluidly between design thinking and hands-on building. You’ll design and ship UI in tandem, using AI coding harnesses and modern design tools, while keeping a strong product sense and ownership across fast-paced work.

You’ll collaborate with engineering and product to ensure quality at speed, contribute to evolving our design system, and communicate decisions clearly in an open, data-informed process.

Qualifications

• Strong product design instincts with hands-on building mindset.
• Fluency with AI tooling and prompts, and appetite to experiment.
• Clear written, verbal and visual communication; share work early.
• Experience contributing to design systems and component libraries.

Responsabilités

• Design and build product experiences end to end, from problem framing through working implementation.
• Work across a modern, AI-native toolkit every day: agentic coding harnesses, design tools like Paper and Pen.dev, prototyping tools like Claude Design, and MCP integrations that connect them.
• Make design decisions grounded in data from usage, research, and feedback, and translate insights into solutions.
• Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure consistency as the product surface grows.
• Work directly in code to prototype, validate, and ship UI as the default mode.
• Communicate the why behind design decisions clearly and publicly; we design in the open.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product to maintain quality at speed.
