Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Data & AI Solutions Engineering Summer Scholar to tackle real-world data challenges at the intersection of AI engineering, data infrastructure, and forward deployment in the United States. You will design data-driven solutions, automate decisions, and build pipelines that scale with client needs, while learning from mentors and industry experts.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a relevant field, with strong analytics skills, exposure to SQL, Python, R, Power BI, and cloud

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Spring/Summer 2028 pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Data Analytics, MIS, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
• Strong academic track record (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0)
• Experience or coursework in data processing and analysis tools (SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Informatica), and familiarity with analytics, data visualization, or big data platforms (Tableau, Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients you serve
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at time of employment
• Must reside within commutable distance of assigned office with ability to commute daily

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in scripting languages and data visualization platforms to extract, transform, merge, and analyze data for actionable insights
• Understand the data lifecycle and analytics concepts to drive innovation and operational improvements
• Communicate effectively; work independently and with Deloitte teams and client stakeholders
• Willingness to learn and implement new concepts, frameworks, and emerging technologies
• Agentic AI thinking: build AI-powered systems that observe, decide, and act autonomously
• Data engineering fluency: design robust data pipelines and architectures
