Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Data Scientist for the VALUE team to transform data into actionable insights driving product strategy and customer outcomes. You will analyze structured and unstructured data, build statistical and ML solutions, and present findings with clear visualizations and reports.

Collaborating with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and Quality Engineers, you’ll identify opportunities where data and AI improve decision making, automate workflows,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, math, CS, engineering, analytics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data science or related analytical roles.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
• Experience with statistical analysis, exploratory data analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Experience working in Agile product or engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain statistical and ML models supporting VALUE objectives.
• Apply predictive analytics, classification, forecasting, clustering, and optimization.
• Evaluate model performance and refine solutions with stakeholder feedback.
• Ensure model quality via testing, validation, and monitoring.
• Translate business questions into analytical solutions with PMs and BAs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Operations to maximize data‑driven decision making.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Mentor peers and share knowledge through documentation.
