Job summary

WS Development is seeking a sharp, organized, exceptional communicator to own our internal controls and compliance program end to end in Boston. The role sits at the center of two interlinked workstreams: controls/audit and compliance obligations for JV partners.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff to the CFO, you will manage complex, deadline-driven programs with cross‑functional input and craft clear, credible materials for investors and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in consulting, PM, operations or finance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication tailored for demanding audiences.
• Strong project management skills handling multiple workstreams with hard deadlines.
• High attention to detail and evidence-based work.
• Polished presence for interaction with institutional investors and auditors.
• Cross-functional collaboration across departments.
• Fluency with AI tools and thoughtful adoption to drive efficiency.
• Experience in internal controls, audit, or real estate/investment compliance is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead program with scope, timeline, and stakeholder coordination end to end.
• Draft clear, precise responses, certifications, and narratives for investors and auditors.
• Represent the firm professionally with investors, partners, and external auditors.
• Develop frameworks, templates, and documentation to scale compliance.
• Champion AI and productivity tools to accelerate drafting, research, and workflows.
• Coordinate annual internal controls testing with external auditors including evidence collection and remediation tracking.
• Drive remediation and process improvements from testing findings.
• Support annual user access reviews and SOC report reviews.
• Maintain control environment with documentation, calendars, and narratives.
• Administer access governance for key financial systems.
