Qualifications

• Requires a related technical degree and 5+ years backend software development experience.
• Proficient in Java, Go, Python, or Ruby.
• Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a critical service.
• Familiar with Agile methods and Test Driven Development.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of distributed databases; PostgreSQL is a plus.
• AI-first engineering mindset and experience using AI tools in workflows.
• Advanced prompt engineering to ensure reliable, secure AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools and validation platforms.
• Design and operate resilient distributed systems across data centers.
• Build production-grade software using modern engineering practices with AI at core.
• Contribute to open source tech and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Write microservices with Kubernetes, Docker, and Mesos.
• Orchestrate AI agents within human workflows at scale.
• Develop and maintain the system context repository for designs and standards.
• Evaluate code for correctness, quality, and security.
• Address incidents and drive improvements for availability and performance.
