Job summary

Comcast seeks a Software Engineer for SEAM to deliver software, data pipelines, and dashboards that measure cloud spend and efficiency. You will partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to translate budgets into actionable engineering work, analyze workloads for optimization, and implement AI-enabled solutions for automation and forecasting.

The role focuses on cost visibility, operational reliability, and scalable, secure services using cloud-native patterns, IaC, and observability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain software, data pipelines, dashboards, and automation to measure cloud spend, infrastructure utilization, and cost per transaction.
• Partner with Finance to translate budgets, forecasts, and unit economics into engineering requirements.
• Analyze cloud, platform, and data workloads to identify inefficiencies and optimization opportunities.
• Implement AI- and analytics-enabled solutions for automation, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
• Contribute to scalable, secure, and maintainable services using IaC, CI/CD, and observability.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Platform, Data, SRE, and product teams on cost-efficient designs.
• Create reliable integrations between telemetry, cloud billing data, and executive reporting.
• Support capacity planning, cost allocation, tagging, and forecasting for budgeting accuracy.
• Develop automated tests and troubleshoot production/data-quality issues.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders with business value.
• Drive continuous improvement by reducing technical debt and sharing reusable patterns.
