Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer to architect, build, and evolve secure, scalable cloud solutions for generative AI and NIH research.

You will own architecture through implementation, develop automation with Terraform, and lead DevOps practices while ensuring security, resiliency, and cost optimization. Remote work is possible with onsite preference near Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 8+ years of relevant IT experience, including cloud solution architecture.
• Deep hands-on Microsoft Azure experience across compute, networking, storage, identity, security, monitoring, APIs and hosting.
• Experience with AI/LLM architectures and services, including Azure AI capabilities and RAG patterns.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and evolve Azure cloud solutions for generative AI and scientific research.
• Lead cloud architecture discussions with developers, security teams, customers and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules and automation for provisioning cloud infrastructure.
• Design DevOps/CI-CD capabilities for deployment, testing, security scanning, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor performance, security, cost, and reliability across application and infrastructure layers.
