Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Forward Deployed Finance Engineer to lead live pilots, design screening, underwriting, diligence, and investment-committee workflows, and translate deal experience into scalable product capabilities.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, support portfolio monitoring and add-on workflows, and help shape the product roadmap with real investment insights. Travel 2–3 times per month for business needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years on the investment team at a buyout fund – middle-market or lower-middle-market, with live deal experience (screening, underwriting, diligence, modeling, and drafting investment committee materials).
• Experience with CIMs, QoE, data packs, LBOs, operating models, and financing terms; able to spot where numbers and documents disagree.
• Investment banking or transaction advisory experience is welcome, but buyside experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead pilots on live opportunities, guide sponsors through what is possible with AI, and build screening, underwriting, diligence, and investment committee workflows.
• Contribute to portfolio monitoring, add-on pipeline tracking, and valuation support; feed deal-team feedback into product development.
