Job summary

BioRender is seeking a Product Builder track candidate for a remote-first role designed for scientists building with AI. You’ll blend biology domain expertise with AI tooling to prototype and ship user-facing features.

You’ll work closely with BioRender’s founders and cross-functional teams to turn ideas into tangible products used by researchers worldwide. Strong curiosity and hands-on coding with AI tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Background in biology, life sciences, or related research field.
• Familiarity with BioRender – you’ve used it and have opinions about it.
• Comfort with AI coding tools – you don't need to be a software expert but you’ve built a product that people use and tinker with (e.g., Claude code) and have collaborated via Github.
• Something you’ve built: a script, a tool, a side project, or an experiment that actually worked and is used.
• Curiosity, scrappiness, and the ability to move from idea to prototype quickly.

Responsibilities

• Own discovery for your product area: identify unmet needs and turn insights into a clear point of view on what to build.
• Prototype new features and ideas yourself using AI-assisted tools like Claude, Cursor, or similar
• Ship things. Take ideas from concept to something real users are interacting with
• Work directly with BioRender’s founders
