Job summary

The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) seeks a Manager, Assessment Development & Innovation to advance certification exam programs through rigorous test development and standards-aligned practices.

You will lead job task analysis, item curation, and standard-setting while exploring new assessment methods and AI-enabled scoring to modernize the IIA’s certification portfolio. Strong project mgmt and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years in assessment/test development, certification, or credentialing programs.
• Experience with job task analysis, item writing/review, and standard-setting.
• Strong facilitation and ability to guide SME panels to consensus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate SME and stakeholder sessions across the exam development lifecycle.
• Develop JTA data collection protocols and conduct focus groups.
• Design JTA surveys to gather practitioner input at scale.
• Prepare data and materials for standard-setting activities.
• Lead AI-related item evaluation and report writing for accreditation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
