Job summary

ITAC Solutions in Birmingham, AL is seeking a hands-on AI builder to turn strategy into working AI solutions across the business. You will design, build, and support generative and agentic AI using Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Power Platform, delivering tangible outcomes that users actually rely on.

Collaborate with Data, IT, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity to translate business needs into production-ready tools; lead pilots, evaluate new AI tools, and ensure robust DevOps processes

Qualifications

• Hands-on builder experience with Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, or custom AI agent development.
• Familiarity with MCP and OCR/document intelligence data tools.
• Experience with Snowflake or a similar data platform.
• DevOps experience with release pipelines (Dev-UAT-Prod).
• Vendor management with cost-to-value focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support generative AI solutions using Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Power Platform.
• Diagnose and resolve agent failures, workflow breakdowns, integration errors, and performance issues.
• Evaluate, pilot, and benchmark emerging AI tools and models.
• Use Python for data preparation, automation, and rapid PoCs.
• Manage promotion of solutions through DevOps stages from Development to Production.
• Collaborate with Data, IT, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams to turn business needs into working solutions.
• Identify and manage external experts, vendors, and delivery partners to maximize value.

Compensation

$150,000–$185,000

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, and support generative and agentic AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Power Platform.
• Diagnose and resolve agent failures, workflow breakdowns, integration errors, and performance issues.
• Evaluate, pilot, and benchmark emerging AI tools and models.
• Use Python for data preparation, automation, and rapid proof-of-concept work.
• Manage promotion of solutions through Development, UAT, and Production, following DevOps best practices.
• Partner with Data, IT, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams to turn business needs into working solutions.
• Identify and manage external experts, vendors, and delivery partners to get the most value out of each engagement.

What You’ll Need to be Considered

• Hands-on builder experience with Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, or custom AI agent development, not just AI strategy or leadership.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and unstructured-to-structured data tools like OCR or Document Intelligence.
• Experience with Snowflake or a similar data platform.
• DevOps experience managing Dev-UAT-Prod release pipelines.
• Vendor management experience with a focus on cost-to-value decisions.
